Quinto Sol, and the Méchicano years begin
Paints Quinto Sol, 8 × 16 ft, in the Old Student Union at CSU Northridge — since destroyed. Begins working out of the Méchicano Art Center in East Los Angeles and El Jardín de Flor y Canto in Pacoima.
1972
Medical Science, East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital
Wins an open competition run through the Méchicano Art Center to paint a forty-foot interior mural, Micro / Macro Medical Science.

A ninety-foot mural for the Chicano Studies Department at Sierra North, CSU Northridge.
1975
Two degrees, and muralism in Mexico City
Graduates from CSU Northridge with a BA in Fine Arts (painting) and a BA in Chicano Studies, after a special electives term studying muralism in Mexico City. Returns an advocate for public art in Los Angeles.
1976
Tree of Life, El Monte
A 15 × 20 ft mural at the El Monte Community Center, funded by the Los Angeles County CETA project.
1977
Centro de Arte Público, Highland Park
Centro de Arte Público opens at 5605½ N. Figueroa Street. Bejarano is part of the collective alongside Carlos Almaraz, Barbara Carrasco, Richard Duardo, Dolores Guerrero-Cruz, Judithe Hernández, Leo Limón, John Valadez, Frank Romero, Roberto Gil de Montes, George Yepes and Victor Manuel Valle. He co-publishes and art-directs ChismeArte.

The Nixon Interviews
A photocopy series pairing television stills from the Nixon interviews with Spanish-language comic panels, circulated as mail art. One postcard in the set is addressed to ChismeArte at 5317 N. Figueroa.

Los Angeles Latino Writers Workshop
Founding member. Centro de Arte Público closes the same year; its building would be declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2021.

City Scape, with Carlos Almaraz
Assistant artist to Carlos D. Almaraz on a 14 × 50 ft mural at the Argil Building Material Co., 4754 Floral Drive, East Los Angeles.

Image Bureau
Runs a graphic arts and pre-press studio for nearly a decade.
1995
Sol de Verano, and a biennial mention
Group show at Galería Las Américas, Linda Vallejo’s gallery in Los Angeles. Receives a Special Mention at the I Bienal de Pintura Mexicana y Chicana, sponsored by the Mexican Consulate of Los Angeles. Makes the Spheres digital prints the same year.
1998
Network Aztlán
Builds an early online social network for Latino artists on Yahoo! Groups. Awarded a Mención Honorífica in the Premio Comunidades Transnacionales by CNCA in Mexico City, and a Special Mention at the San José Tech Museum.
1999
Spider Woman and Mayan Time
Two mural commissions: Spider Woman for the Downtown Pomona Mural Program at Third and Thomas Street, and Mayan Time, 4 × 20 ft, at the Fairplex for the Los Angeles County Fair.
2000
Artist-in-Residence, California Museum of Photography
Residency at the California Museum of Photography, UC Riverside, working with the CMP Students at Risk Program.
2005
Just Another Poster?
The travelling Chicano poster survey reaches the UCLA Fowler Museum, the Oakland Museum, the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, the Jersey City Museum, the Crocker Art Museum and La Raza Galería Posada.

Smithsonian American Art Museum
Work enters the Méchicano Arts collection at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC.
2018
Transformation
Solo exhibition at the Latino Art Museum, Pomona, which also holds Journey to Aztlán in its collection.
